Nice concept! And really good voice acting as well. I liked to see two game universes in one and well done. I'll definitely get the game when you finish it! :)
Thank you! I look forward to seeing what the full version brings and hope you continue making great games like this one!! Have a gnarly rest of your day!!!
Congratulations to everyone who created this game. The sounds are great, the graphics are very fluid, it's a 5-star game. I want the creators of this game to subscribe to my channel, please. Thank you. Greetings from Spain!
THEM left me with that strange feeling only great psychological horror games can — like I saw something I wasnβt supposed to. Something personal.
From the moment I entered the arcade basement, I felt like I was walking through a memory that didnβt belong to me — but somehow knew me. The way this game blends liminal design, distorted nostalgia, and atmospheric unease is seriously next-level. I wasnβt expecting to be hit this hard emotionally by a game built around an old-school game club. That ending… it just sits with you.
Thereβs no cheap jumpscares or over-the-top exposition — just that quiet, creeping feeling that somethingβs not right, and itβs been watching you the whole time.
If you're into ambient dread, symbolism, and subtle psychological horror that stays in your head, this game is 100% worth your time.
Very cool idea for an indie game, i must say tho it needs some more depth to the lore and i hope you put more in the finished game, the graphics look amazing both in the real world and the game, maybe add some spookiness to make it feel more like an "horror" game than a "creepy" one.
Its a great start and i hope you dont mess up, ALSO PLEASE STOP USING AI TO MAKE POSTERS OR IMAGES IN THE GAME, I KNOW ITS THE QUICKEST AND CHEAPEST WAY TO PUT DETAILS IN THE GAME BUT STILL TRY TO PUT SOME EFFORT IN THAT TOO.
I LOVED this! Thanks for posting the demo on itch! I went ahead and wishlisted the game--I meant to record my playthrough of the demo and apparently didn't press record... π
But regardless, I can't WAIT for you to post the full version!
It's my pride that you enjoyed the demo ππ I'm sure you had an exciting gameplay, and I look forward to watching your experience with the full version soon π₯
For being a demo, this was quite good! Love the whole idea so far of solving puzzles in the arcade game, using the items from the game, etc. Seems like a really cool idea! Made a video on it.
Youβre a Kid at the Arcade But the Game Youβre Playing Is Becoming Reality β THEM
Playing as a 9-year-old trapped inside an arcade nightmare felt so personal and terrifying. The transitions between reality and game world were so smooth and disturbing. Loved it!
A fantastic mix of 2D and 3D nightmares with the pinch of creepy voice over and phenomenally built environment - solid 10/10 demo!
When you are trying to showcase a game for people to play later, you want your main demonstration to be short, straight to the point and explaining the game's main mechanics - this did all that and even more. The atmosphere is so visceral, dim and absolutely bonkers creepy. The voice over (I hope it is not AI) was great, the optimization was well handled and overall I enjoyed my experience with this. Hope to see the full game very soon.
Thanks bro ππ I'm really glad you liked the game, and it gave me a lot of motivation to complete it. Fortunately, the voice isn't AI π I tried to get help from a voice actor for the voices.
Much like Tormenture, the 'game-within-a-game' mechanic is on full throttle here, where you play as a young child who wakes up in the basement of an amusement club and has to retrieve items in the 'game world' and bring them to...something...in order to gain powers and advance in the 'Taskelvania' 2D platformer world.
I enjoyed the aesthetic and the puzzle elements involved in this demo, especially the VO quality of the 'entity' in the painting. I'm just not that great at platformers! As any great demo should, this left me wanting more, so can't wait for the full release!
